Students must use computers that are capable of running Microsoft Office applications. IU maintains some discount agreements with vendors which are applicable to personal purchases for students. UITS maintains a walk-in support center called the Information Commons located in the main library on the first floor (Monday–Thursday 8 a.m.–midnight; Friday 8 a.m.–9 p.m., Saturday noon–5 p.m., Sunday noon–midnight).
