Spanish and Portuguese

Overseas Study

Students studying in Spanish or Portuguese, regardless of their major, are strongly encouraged to study abroad. Indiana University sponsors many programs in the Hispanic world:

Academic year

  • Brazil (São Paulo, São Paulo [BUS], Bahia)

  • Dominican Republic (Santiago)
  • Costa Rica (Monteverde) and Ecuador (Quito)

These programs may be taken for an academic year but applications are reviewed on a case by case basis.
