Students interested in taking film classes, as well as students seeking to major or minor with an emphasis in Film Studies at IUB, should now look for film course listings under the heading for the Department of Communication and Culture. The Film Studies Program, its courses, and its faculty have been integrated into the Department of Communication and Culture under the rubric of media studies.

Students who began to pursue a Film Studies Certificate or a Ph.D. minor before July 1, 1999, can take courses in this department to continue to fulfill and complete their requirements for the certificate and minor.

After this date, however, students wishing to concentrate in film should inquire about a major or minor in Communication and Culture.
