Sustainability and Sustainable Development
(18 credit hours) The sustainable development concentration focuses on the balancing of human needs with the protection of the natural and social environments. Components of a sustainable development strategy encompass environmental, economic, social, and political elements.

Context for Sustainability (6 credit hours):
In consultation with a concentration advisor, select two courses from one of the two areas: Development, Policy, and Entrepreneurship, or Natural Environment. Students are encouraged to select courses that lead to expertise in a particular context. (Note: The third concentration core course can be substituted for one of these context courses).
